Anytime you are not satisfied with how your career is progressing may
be a good time to consider getting some coaching. If one or more of the
following statements are true for you, then you may be in a specific situation
where coaching can make a positive difference:
- I am thinking of leaving a job, company or career field because I feel
there are conflicts that cannot be resolved or because I feel blocked in
my growth.
- I'm in a crisis or conflict situation causing me stress and affecting
my job performance or sense of well-being.
- I have a conflict between the needs of my personal and professional
lives.
- I've had / will have a performance review with specific goals that
I need support to achieve.
- I'm having conflicts with one or more of my co-workers.
- I've made repeated attempts to master a particular aspect of a job
without the desired result.
- I'm beginning a new position that has significant challenges.
- I lack skill and confidence to promote my own ideas and projects, so
other people get more resources and support.
- I'm not good at "politics" and so I lose out to my co-workers
who are.
- I need to be more assertive about what I need and want, but speaking
up feels risky so I keep quiet.
- I often feel intimidated in interactions with the senior-level managers
who can promote me.
- I have a vision of where I would like to go in my career, but I'm not
sure how to get there.
- People less-talented than me are passing me up.
- I don't feel free to pursue the career path I really want.
- I'm not sure where I want to go in my career, but I know I don't want
to stay where I am now.
- I'm caught in a career crisis and I'm stuggling to find a way out.
