Anytime you are not satisfied with how your career is progressing may be a good time to consider getting some coaching. If one or more of the following statements are true for you, then you may be in a specific situation where coaching can make a positive difference:

  • I am thinking of leaving a job, company or career field because I feel there are conflicts that cannot be resolved or because I feel blocked in my growth.
  • I'm in a crisis or conflict situation causing me stress and affecting my job performance or sense of well-being.
  • I have a conflict between the needs of my personal and professional lives.
  • I've had / will have a performance review with specific goals that I need support to achieve.
  • I'm having conflicts with one or more of my co-workers.
  • I've made repeated attempts to master a particular aspect of a job without the desired result.
  • I'm beginning a new position that has significant challenges.
  • I lack skill and confidence to promote my own ideas and projects, so other people get more resources and support.
  • I'm not good at "politics" and so I lose out to my co-workers who are.
  • I need to be more assertive about what I need and want, but speaking up feels risky so I keep quiet.
  • I often feel intimidated in interactions with the senior-level managers who can promote me.
  • I have a vision of where I would like to go in my career, but I'm not sure how to get there.
  • People less-talented than me are passing me up.
  • I don't feel free to pursue the career path I really want.
  • I'm not sure where I want to go in my career, but I know I don't want to stay where I am now.
  • I'm caught in a career crisis and I'm stuggling to find a way out.
