Richard Phillips, Career Counselor and Coach I am a career counselor and coach with over 15 years experience working with groups and individuals. I have been involved in career development projects at Sun Microsystems, Hewlett Packard, Intel, Agilent Technologies and many other companies. Prior to starting my career coaching business in 1991, I was Training Manager for a division of the Dun and Bradstreet Company. Also included in my background are experience in family-owned businesses and the public school system. The focus of my work is to help talented and motivated professionals achieve long-term career satisfaction and prosperity. I believe that when people experience the freedom to do their best work they give maximum benefit to themselves, their organizations and their communities. My education includes a Bachelor's in Behavioral Science and a Master's degree in Counseling, as well as on-going professional development courses and seminars. My clients work at some of the most well-known companies in the Silicon Valley and some that are on their way to becoming well-known. I have a thorough familiarity with the issues and working environments that characterize life in Silicon Valley. When I take a break from helping my clients achieve success in their careers, I'm to be found behind the lens of a camera or at the helm of my small sailboat trying to master the finer points of seamanship.
